The story of Beauty and the Beast is a spin-off of the story of Cupid and Psyche (I was told in school it is supposed to signify that the inellect and love don't coexist easily. I prefer to have it be a parable for "look, don't think," which is a favorite saying of L. Ron Hubbard. In other words, don't worry or fret.
